Liberty loan fees

Application fees

Liberty may charge a non-refundable establishment fee when a loan is drawn down. It covers the cost of assessment and verification services and, like the loan's interest rate, is also personalised.

At the time of writing, an unsecured loan fee can range from 0% to 5.5% of the loan amount, capped at $950.

For a secured loan, the establishment fee ranges from $310 to $1,010,  depending on risk level. It also covers the cost of a registry search to verify a vehicle and register a security interest in it with the Australian Financial Services Authority.

The establishment fee is added to the loan amount then automatically deducted when the funds are disbursed.

Late fees

A $10 dishonour fee is payable each time a payment is dishonoured while a $25 fee is payable when the loan is in default or arrears (at the time of writing).
