                    How much do I need to buy a house

                    Buying a house isn’t just the deposit and the loan - there are extra costs associated with the purchase, which can cost thousands of dollars in total. In general, the different property buying costs can cost up to 5% of the property’s value. So for a $600,000 house, for example, you could need to spend an extra $30,000 on the following fees:

                    • Conveyancing costs
                    • Inspection and reporting fees
                    • Lenders Mortgage Insurance (for deposits under 20%)
