National dwelling values fall 0.6% in March

CoreLogic’s latest home value index results for March 2019 show the national average dwelling value fell by 0.6%, which is actually the smallest month-to-month decline since October 2018.

Land lot prices rising despite shrinking lot sizes

Australia’s median land lot size shrank to from 422 to 420 square metres in 2018, but that didn’t stop the median lot price from rising around the country.

Aussies expect prices to rise by only 4% per annum over the next two years – the lowest this expectation has been since November 2016.

The average residential dwelling price in Australia fell $15,700 in the December 2018 quarter, largely driven by price falls in Sydney and Melbourne.
